DANIEL LEUNG

Chairman of the Board

Daniel Leung founded United State of America Dragon and Lion Dance Sports Association with the vision and drive to improve upon the lion dance community. He is the current leader of Leung's White Crane Dragon and Lion Dance Association and has built networks with other associations throughout all of Asia. With his 40+ years of experience, he is committed to developing the organization with dedication and integrity.

ROGER LOOK

Director of Operations

Roger joins our Board of Directors with over 15 years of lion dance and kung fu experience. He is currently the head director of the San Diego Southern Sea Dragon and Lion Dance Association. Under his leadership Southern Sea has experienced an upswing in membership and growth. Roger brings with him years of experience in corporate strategy and data analytics.

LISA HI

Director of Finance

Lisa Hi has a true passion for lion and dragon dancing. She has had extensive experience working with youth and enjoys developing individuals to become the next generation of leaders. Her strong work ethic and honesty makes her a perfect fit to our team.

WILLIAM LEE

Secretary

Will is an avid practitioner of both kung fu and lion dance. He is one of very few individuals in the US that is certified as an International Dragon and Lion Dance Judge. His expertise and attention to detail makes him a valuable addition to our team,

DAVID Y. LEI

Member of the Board

David is an accomplished entrepreneur with a deep-seated commitment to community development. With his degree in Business Administration, he spends his time working in the social sector helping at-risk Asian and African-American youth throughout San Francisco. He is an active member of the community and works towards building sustainable funding models to help community based organizations.

MICHAEL CHIU

Member of the Board

Michael is a long time advocate of the arts. He has a background in the police force and is no stranger in serving the community. He also holds an International Dragon and Lion Dance Judge license. We are very fortunate to have him as a member of our board.

JUSTIN HUANG, PhD

While a scientist by training, Justin is also an active member of the lion dance community and an advocate for Asian American issues. With over 10+ years of experience with lion dance, he has also served on our competition planning committees and is the head MC for our competitions.

Lucy Hoang

Lucy has been an active participant in the lion dance community for over 10+ years and brings a wealth of event planning and organizational experience to our board. Her background working with multiple teams across the United States has given her a unique perspective on the art of lion dance and how it fits into the Asian diaspora in America. Lucy is inspired and motivated by the cultural significance of lion dance within the Asian American community and is an advocate for a balanced lifestyle of physical and mental health.

TRUNG "LK" NGUYEN

LK's passion for lion dance ignited during his childhood, and over the years, it has grown into a lifelong dedication. With over 23 years of experience in the art form, LK now serves as the director of Lee's Golden Dragon in Houston, Texas. His expertise and commitment have been instrumental in preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of lion dance with the community.

WILLIAM NGUYEN

With 15+ years of experience in lion dancing and martial arts, William Nguyen is dedicated to enhancing competition planning and execution for the board. His background in organizing large-scale events and fostering partnerships has equipped him with valuable skills in logistics, coordination, and community engagement. He hopes to help bring the sport of lion dancing to all regions of the USA, ensuring its growth and accessibility for everyone.
